The Pickups were hand wound by Abigail Ybarra before she retired in 2013

Ybarra came to Fender in 1956 and in ’58 began winding and building pickups. Her hand-wound creations have been installed on the company most popular instruments since the late ’50s and were likely on instruments played by Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Holly, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and countless others. Her pickups have become desirable amongst artists and collectors.
