Lara Pollard
Lara is not only a seasoned professional when it comes to Vocal Coaching, but also a skilled Pianist and Harpist. From a young age Lara was performing at weddings and events accompanying herself on the Harp as well as taking part in local Musical Theatre productions.
Her passion for music lead her to touring the world as the lead singer of the resident band on P&O Ferrys and Thompson Cruise ships. Lara spent time in India teaching singing and piano at the Metropolitan School of Music in Gurgaon before returning to the UK to begin her career teaching at a Musical Theatre Company as their Lead Vocal Coach and Musical Director.
In 2020, Lara was a contestant on The Voice UK, winning a space in the Top 40 out of the over 1800 people who auditioned that year, with Sir Tom Jones as her coach.
Since The Voice, Lara has made a name for herself as the Choir Leader at 'Somewhere2Sing' Saffron Walden and recently started her own Youth Choir 'LP Chorus Collective'.
Lara strives to give her students a safe space to express themselves, connect with others, and be heard. Whether it's Graded Exams, a way to relax or a road to stardom, Lara's lessons are an opportunity for students to learn new skills, gain confidence, and expand their horizons as musicians.
